How to Solve Scania SDP3 2.44.1 Internal Software Fault

There is something wrong with Scania SDP3 software v2.44.1. When I install and run it for my scania VCI3 scanner, the following error is reported “Internal software fault in SDP3. If the fault recurs, send the log file SDP3Tool.log to Scania’s SDP3 department.”

Here is the solution I got from www.obd2tool.com engineer:

You’d better uninstall the current software and install the newest software V2.46.1.

Note: it can be used for all available Scania VCI3 truck diagnostic tools such as item No. SH58, SH58-B (simply version & cheap) and SH58-C (best quality).

It’s not difficult to install, just follow the video to operate step by step, and finally I install the new software successfully.

Here are the main steps:

Step 1: Copy and paste Scania SDP3 2.46.1 software folder to desktop

Step 2: Install Adobe Reader 9.2

Step 3: Run NDP462 setup as administrator and install Framework 4.6.2 setup

Step 4: Run Scania Diagnos & Programmer3 2.46.1.exe as administrator to install SDP3 2.46.1 setup

Step 5: Run Prerequistes.cmd as administrator to check operation is completed

Step 6: Restart computer

Step 7: Open software folder and FIX file to run Hardware ID Reader.exe

Copy and paste the ID to obd2tool to get activation ID

Step 8: Merge registration key

Step 9: Open -install_cmd file on C:/Scania 2.46.1/FIX/x32

Note: It depends on the operating system.

Step 10: Connect Scania VCI3 interface with computer and install device driver software

Step 11: Restart computer

Step 12: Copy 2 files in C:/Scania 2.46.1/FIX/Fix 2.46.1 and replace that in C:/Program Files/Scania/SDP3 folder

Step 13: Run Time.exe in FIX folder as administrator and Crack SDP3

Step 14: Restart computer

Step 15: Run SDP3 software on desktop to update VCI

Step 16: Open SDP3 Configurator on desktop to select language you desired

Then the software is ready to use.
