Ford F150 2019- BCM Replacement No crank, No start

Here comes the problem:

I purchased a flood damaged 2019 Ford F150 with a bricked Body control module that could not be cloned. So far I’ve cleaned all Terminals, harnesses, replaced the body control module, Power control module, Passenger door control module, and Body control module C (fuse holder)

After replacing those I programmed the 2 keys (original to the truck) to the new BCM using the prompts on the dashboard (without using Forscan) after that I configured all the modules to as built with Forscan. I was able to get most functions of the truck to work but there is still no crank, no start.

Is there something else I need to do to install the BCM? and can I do that with Forscan?

Solution:
If you changed your BCM, there is NO WAY you can start the vehicle until you reprogram your existing keys to the new BCM. You can’t do that with Forscan. You will have no problem programming all the as-built data to the new BCM. Once you program the BCM with your as-built data, you will need the services of an auto locksmith to get the new BCM to recognize your existing keys.

For example:
I replaced my BCM recently on 2019 F150. Used Forscan to program factory as-built data and an Autel IM608 to do the keys. Also, Ford IDS is for older vehicles(pre 2015). You would need Ford FDRS with a dealer license to do PATS programming. There are people on another forum that sell 1 day, 1 week and 1 year licence to FDRS with PATS access.

I replaced my BCM because of water damage. I simply bought a used one with the exact same part number (also happened to be from the same year), used Forscan to program all the as-built data and then had to borrow a friend’s Autel IM608 to program my existing keys to the new BCM. If you buy a new one from Ford, then it needs additional programming that Forscan cannot do but can be done with FDRS software (Ford Diagnostic & Repair System). I know the BCM controls many aspects of an F150(lights, security, PATS etc..). Getting the as-built data for your vehicle is as easy as going to https://www.motorcraftservice.com/asbuilt.

You can use IM608 JVCI or other J2534 passthru with FDRS, for example, vxdiag vcx nano Ford J2534

Programming your existing keys to new new BCM is a little more complicated. You can look for an auto locksmith locally and they can do it for about $100 or so. If you want to do it yourself, you can purchase a 2 day licence from other site that offers FDRS with PATS programming(only dealers and bonded locksmiths have that access).S
